Matt met Carl and Racheal during his second visit to Sri Lanka in 2014. After learning about the TEA Project he was immediately drawn to the work and the people involved.
“I volunteered alongside them in a centre for street kids in Kandy for the remainder of my time in Sri Lanka. I was so inspired by their aims and ethos that I returned a year later with my family and a small team of medics from my local community in Scotland, to deliver a health education programme in several locations across the province”.
A former Royal Navy Officer, Matt now looks after a busy wife, two young children and serves as an Ambassador to promote TEA Project interests back in the UK.
"My dream is to see The TEA Project fully funded and able to reach
disadvantaged children all across Sri Lanka"
